When the Craic takes ya, go with it!

Well, I'll start off with saying I love this country. It's great craic!! I've been horrible at blogging, and the past 2 weeks have been a real blur! I'm in the concourse at school currently waiting for 18th Century Irish History to start.

The brief rundown of my life in one sentence:
Go to class, go home, have the craic, go to bed, repeat.

Galway is fantastic and utterly beautiful!
So far I have:
  • Gone to the coast
  • Glimpsed the Atlantic from the East
  • Seen trad music multiple times
  • Been to mass in the Galway Cathedral
  • Danced the night away
  • Gone to 2 hrs of intensive Irish dance class
  • Met some of the coolest people alive
  • Made Friends
  • Watched Friends (that show is on CONSTANTLY here)
  • Walked all over the city
  • Had the greatest pizza at the Monrose
  • Played with a puppy
  • Found the greatest bookshop ever (Charlie Brynes)
  • Found the greatest Hot Chocolate ever (The Chocolate Box)
  • Read Oscar Wilde
  • Read "Love Letters of Great Women" (Abigail Adams is pretty much the coolest woman ever)
  • Learned so much about Irish Culture
  • Learned a lot about Irish History
  • Integrated history with understanding culture
  • Had crazy intellectual conversations about Irish History and Culture :P
  • Gone to the Claddaugh Museum (and the only place that legally makes official Claddaugh rings <3)
  • Had a "walking tour of Galway"
  • Gone to a choral concert at St Nicholas which was just grand
  • Enjoyed girls nights in with both my roommates and Berry's
All that and I'm going all over Co. Clare this weekend with my program.

A more complete view check out Berry's blog http://interwebebenezer.blogspot.com/2012/01/great-craic.html?spref=fb (it will also have an explaination for "craic")
